It allows easier reach to the ground and is shaped to slim the bikes profile on the left. Installation requires the separate purchase of primary gasket kit and 2015 and later style derby cover. Come complete with inspection and derby cover, including the bolts to attach them. The oversized derby cover allows clutch plate replacement and adjustment without removal of the primary cover. Covers have a show quality chrome plated finish. The 1995 thru 1998 cover for Softail & Dyna can be used on later models when you also install a 3-hole derby cover. The 1999-up cover for Softail & Dyna models can be used on earlier models when you also install a 5-hole derby cover. VENTED CHROME OUTER PRIMARIES FOR DYNA AND SOFTAIL These vented primaries are developed especially for those who are using an up to 1 3/4" wide aftermarket primary belt drive. The numerous vented slots provide an improved airflow to keep belt running cool for improved belt life. These primaries fit all 1989 to 1998 Softail and Dyna models.
