Roller rockers improve valve train geometry and efficiency. They always must be installed with adjustable push rods. Rocker shafts and push rods must be ordered separately. Most rockers come equipped with 1/2" long bushings or needle bearings, however these utilize 50% longer 3/4" long bronze bushings. The end result is claimed by S&S to be the finest rocker arm available anywhere. It is highly recommended to install these roller rocker arms with new shafts. The use of adjustable push rods is a must.
